POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client seeks an Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and the commissioning of industrial automation systems. The successful candidate will design, develop, and commission control systems across a range of industrial environments, working closely with project managers, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems.
- Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC systems.
- Develop and configure HMI and SCADA applications.
- Carry out on-site commissioning, testing, and validation of automated systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation faults.
- Produce and maintain electrical drawings, documentation, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and post-project handover.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with PLC programming platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience required.
- Strong HMI/SCADA platforms experience
- Willingness to travel to sites for commissioning, and a full clean driving licence
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in water treatment/pharma automation environments
- SCADA platform experience (Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC)
- Functional safety knowledge
- AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for schematic design
